Socially Engaged Insight Meditation

SnowFlower Annual Fall Retreat
October 13-15, 2017
Bethel Horizons in Dodgeville, WI
Once again we have the opportunity to come together to practice mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh this October 13-15. We will gather at Bethel Horizons retreat center, which is located near Dodgeville in Wisconsin’s wondrous Driftless Area.
This regional retreat provides folks with the chance to take refuge and become centered in simple but nourishing mindfulness practices, and to support each other in such challenging times and circumstances.
We will be led by Dharma Teacher Jack Lawlor, who received Lamp Transmission from Thay in 1992 and who has served on the Care-Taking Council of the North American Dharma Teachers Sangha the past six years. Rajan Pradhan’s team will again prepare and serve delicious vegetarian food, and Tom Loomis along with Gloria Green, Walt Keough and Celeste Robins will do our best to make sure your retreat experience is wonderful from beginning to end.
Our late dear Dharma Teacher and friend Cheri Maples will continue through us as we practice, and we will have the chance to honor her in a special ceremony in which we dedicate the merit of chanting the Heart Sutra to her.
Any retreats in the winter months, November, December?
Hi Judy,
There are none from us, but there will be a couple at the monasteries. We’ll be updating the retreat page now, so please check soon!
