Thich Nhat Hanh turns 90 on October 11. The Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation is asking monks, nuns and lay people worldwide to submit short videos in his honor. Each video should complete the sentence, “I (We) continue Thay by….” See How We Continue Thich Nhat Hanh to learn about other requirements.
The deadline for submissions is October 8. The Foundation has already begun to post submissions on YouTube and Facebook.
LionsRoar.com reports Thay describes his own continuation in his book, No Death, No Fear:
“Our children are our continuation. We are our children and our children are us. If you have one or more children, you have already been reborn in them. You can see your continuation body in your son or your daughter, but you have many more continuation bodies as well. They are in everyone you have touched. And you cannot know how many people your words, actions, and thoughts have touched.”
Thay has said his “spiritual children” are his continuation.[1]
