A Conversation with Br. Phap Man

March 7 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Brother Phap Man is a Buddhist monk ordained in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. (Martin Luther King, Jr. nominated Nhat Hanh for the Nobel Peace Prize after he himself was awarded it.) Phap Man currently lives in New York City, devoting himself to action on the global climate crisis. There he has worked with Extinction Rebellion and other groups, developing experience and offering guidance in civil disobedience as a response to the climate crisis.

On Saturday morning, Phap Man will give a short talk on climate engagement and then respond to questions. Depending on the weather, an optional walking meditation will follow in Warner Park.

Phap Man’s talk is open to all.
